I found it easy to highlight the verbs, adverbs, adjectives, nouns.

I really enjoyed reading the poem.

Next time I need to focus more on the poem then the background.

Public vs Private Info

We are learning about our digital footprint.

We talk about private and public information.

I learned being safe and think before you do something online.

I already knew don't tell them your number or email.

Sir Peter Blake

Last term Blake NZ visited. we learned about marine Reserves.

We were able to use VR sets to explore the ocean.

I found it easy to find the information.

I found it hard to explain it properly because I was away the day of the VR session.

I really enjoyed basically everything.

Next time I need to focus explain it properly and working better with my group.

Clickety - Clack - Cicada

 

We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. 

Some of the features we identified in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. 

This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

I found it easy to find some of the verbs and adverbs.

I found it hard to find some of the nouns because it was really difficult for me to find it.

I really enjoyed how the author used metaphor to make the writing more interesting.

Next time I need to work on explaining it properly.

we were learning about metaphors. A metaphor compares 2 different things. 

In the poem the author used metaphor to compare bread to clouds.

I found it easy to  do the background.

I found it hard to find the verbs and adverbs.

I really enjoyed doing everything.

Next time I need to more focus on my adverbs and verbs.

The Race

I am going to be showing you my work. cord the race. this book is from my reading group and we had to make a slide about our book.👍

At the Marae

On Monday, me and my brother and my mum went to the marae. First my mum went and my uncle Jimmy.
The next day we had breakfast. It was weetbix.
After breakfast I went to play. We played Green Light Red Light.
My nana was crying so I asked my nana, “Why are you crying?” She said, “We are going to bury your uncle.”
Then we were ready to bury him. When we got there we went in and when they did bury him down the hole four boys did the haka.
